BREATH, RHYTHM AND MIND: A WORKSHOP

Sonorous Breath, Sonorous Body

The 15th century influential philosophical text and practical manual on Yoga, the HathaYogaPradipika, discusses Time and Breath as musical, and therefore the experiences of our body itself as sonorous and rhythmic.

In a recent TED talk, author Neil Gaiman describes the present moment as a Fermata, a place of pause between an inhalation and an exhalation, once again alluding to the connection between breath, time, music and our lived experiences that cuts across cultural strait jackets.

For researchers, faculty, students of yoga and anyone interested in the body as a space created at the intersection of breath, Time and mind, you are welcome to join a 30-minute somatic journey through the breathwork practice called Bhastrika pranayama (bellows breath).

In this special online workshop led by Breathe Meditation, participants will be guided through a short led-practice with opportunity for experimentation, questions and above all one-pointed immersion in Pranayama.*
